چکیده

Objective: We aim to evaluate the effects of low-dose dopamine (LDD) infusion (0.5 – 2.5 g/kg/min) on hemodynamic status and short-term graft function in kidney transplant recipients. Materials Methods: Patients who underwent transplantation surgery between January 2007 December 2016 were included study. Demographic laboratory data, presence delayed function, rates rejection, loss, mortality recorded. The data compared patients with without LDD treatment. Results: A total 126 study (M/F:50.8%/49.2%; mean age, 38.94 ± 11.8 years). Ninety-four (74.6%) received living-donor transplants. Fifty-seven postoperative period (LDD group), while 69 did not receive infusion. significantly differ groups. Nineteen group experienced (p=0.039). However, these tended be older, have a longer dialysis prior transplantation, deceased hypertensive donors. There was no significant difference renal at 6 months after Conclusion: Although, increases blood flow,

Approach to kidney transplant in sensitized potential transplant recipients.

More than one-third of patients on waiting lists for kidney transplant are sensitized. Most have previously formed donor-specific and non-donor-specific serum antibodies and/or positive crossmatch by complement-dependent cytotoxity and/or flow cytometry. Two categories of alloantibodies include antibodies against major histocompatibility complex human leukocyte antigen class 1 and class 2 and a...

Successful Cost-Effective Prevention of Cytomegalovirus Disease in Kidney Transplant Recipients Using Low-Dose Valganciclovir.

OBJECTIVES Low-dose valganciclovir prophylaxis is still under investigation in renal transplant procedures. Our aim was to assess the cost effectiveness of 450 mg versus 900 mg valganciclovir prophylaxis in kidney transplant recipients. MATERIALS AND METHODS In this prospective trial, 201 kidney transplant patients were randomized (1:1) to receive 450 mg/d (group 1, n = 100) or 900 mg/d (grou...

Evaluation of Long-term Effect of Adding Low-Dose Daclizumab to Standard Protocol on Kidney Rejection in Kidney Recipients

Background & Aims: Daclizumab is a monoclonal antibody directed against CD25 subunit of interlukin 2 receptor. Several studies have shown the effectiveness of daclizumab on reduction of acute rejection in renal transplantation with regular or limited dose. The present study assessed the outcomes of 3 and 5 years follow-up of a prospective case-control trial comparing safety and efficacy of indu...

Cataract in kidney transplant recipients.

The relationship between the administrated dose of steroid and the grade of cataract was studied in 22 kidney transplant recipients maintaining a good graft function for more than one year. Posterior subcapsular cataract was observed in 19 patients, of whom seven showed severe cataract accompanied by visual disturbance. The total dose of steroid, particularly the dose in the period from three m...
